MedQuest Building

The building MedQuest was located in was out-dated and in need of repairs. This buildings total square footage was 3,800 and had a very small display area approximately 700 square feet with 630 square feet of office space and minimal storage. Ace Hardware was relocating so MedQuest took the opportunity to relocate in the former ACE Store, a larger building.

The description of work that this project involved was architectural design, demolition, construction, and completion. The first item was the architectural drawing of the new location, what parts would need to be demoed, what would be new construction. Location of underground plumbing work needed, change in HVAC, additional electrical and computer jacks for the office area, additional lighting for the display area.

After this was completed, our office did the color selection throughout the building. Demo was started and completed promptly with construction of interior walls erected using steel studs and where warranted wood studs were used. These walls were insulated, for sound deadening, with 5/8" Gypsum on both sides. Solid core doors where hung and steel jambs finished and painted. We then did the taping, texturing and painting of the walls. The slot-wall was installed along with all the trim involved with this type of panel. The installation of the entire carpet and vinyl composition tile brought the project to completion. The completed project took approximately 4 months.
