Bowman County Courthouse

The addition and renovation of Bowman County Courthouse was completed in the spring of 2007. The original 5,953 square foot building was built in 1973 The original building was renovated to accommodate the courtroom, Judge's chambers, jury room, District Health offices, Treasurer and Registrar of Deeds' offices, vaults and other additional offices. The new addition to the building accommodates the Sheriff's Department, jail, County Auditor, and an extra vault.

The building is a block and brick structure with a reinforced concrete foundation partially recessing into a hill. The addition included making the building handicap accessible with the inclusion of an elevator and handicap accessible doorways. Both upper and lower floors have walk out doors. Geothermal wells were also added to the building for heating and cooling purposes.
